This meteorite is between 4 and 4.5 billion years old, which means it existed 100 to 600 million years before life appeared on Earth. This meteorite is a member of the pallasite class, which is the rarest type of meteorite with Widmannstätten pattern iron-olivine alloy, making up less than 6% of all detectable meteorites. The chemical composition includes 80-90% iron, 9.15% nickel, and traces of iridium, gallium, and germanium.
